CaberlonCaroppi has signed the Belstay Hotels projects

CaberlonCaroppi interprets an ambitious new hotel business project targeting both leisure and business travellers in the suburban areas of important Italian cities. The first four hotels of Milano Linate, Milano Assago, Venezia Mestre, and Roma Aurelia have now been inaugurated. The developer Hotel OpCo aims at opening ten venues before the end of 2024.

Belstay Hotels is a new hotel chain being launched by Hotel OpCo, a controlled company whose funds are managed by the London-based investment company Blantyre Capital. In Italy, the entire operation, comprising the industrial plan and operational strategy, has been handled by Garnet Hospitality Partners, a company engaged in management consulting and the development of hotel real estate assets on the Italian market.

To date, four venues have been inaugurated – two in Milan (Linate and Assago), one in Venice at Mestre, and one in Rome (in the Aurelia district) – for a total of 800 rooms. Belstay aims at increasing this offering to 10 hotels by 2024.
The architectural firm of CaberlonCaroppi has been appointed to manage the makeover of the various locations, which involves a radical reinterpretation of the premises thanks to a modern, functional, and harmonious mingling of colours, materials, and decorative elements.

The project stems from an intent to rethink the suburban areas of Italy’s principal cities and make them a pole of attraction for holidaying couples and families, as well as for business travellers. An in-depth survey of the areas involved has led to the identification of a series of properties, for the purpose of conducting an operation of structural requalification, commercial regeneration, and new employment opportunities.

Behind the project concept, it is possible to glean a refined research and attention to detail which in no way compromises the functionality of the location. Indeed, the various spaces have been designed to cater for a business target, with flexible workstations, meeting rooms and restaurants of international appeal, as well as for those who travel for sheer pleasure, enabling them to enjoy lounge areas, greenery, fitness rooms and outdoor pools.

The lobby area, almost a destination in its own right, offers a lively, luminous atmosphere defined by contemporary yet informal lines and colours that inspire energy and a sense of wellbeing.

Also thanks to a pricing policy that offers excellent value for money, Belstay Hotels provide unique and tailor-made experiences just a short distance away from the city centre.
