Cannaregio: Gordon Guillaumier for Cimento Collection

Sinuous profiles, soft shapes and balanced dimensions: this are the features of the versatile furniture collection designed by Gordon Guillaumier for Cimento Collection by CIMENTO®. The line consists of dining tables, chairs, armchairs, sofas and poufs. It takes its name from one of the liveliest districts of the lagoon city: Cannaregio.
Expressive power, stage presence and lightness of CIMENTO® - an innovative-patented material that uses over 90% mineral aggregates mixed with a cementitious binder - feature Cannaregio furnishings, designed and developed for the leisure and living area. Iconic pieces meant to be used freely, inside and outside the home, symbolize new languages and needs.

Inspired by the timeless beauty of Venice, the Cannaregio line fits with both contemporary and classic environments. The soft out-door version is instead designed to rediscover the value of outdoor areas, escape from closed places and enjoy life in the open air in an urban garden, a terrace overlooking the sea or a porch in the hills.
“This collection of furniture and accessories started from the idea of carved monolithic forms, transformed into sensual sculptures that follow the rules of CIMENTO craftsmanship”, Gordon Guillaumier explained. “With its almost velvety tactile effect, the concrete skin highlights the smoothness of the lines, softening the hardness of the classic concrete furniture. The use of bi-color coverings creates a contrasting volumes effect that makes pure forms vibrate”.
This new partnership is just the first of many others that will be announced by the company in 2021. Based on the art direction of Aldo Parisotto P + F Architetti, the Cimento Collection is enriched with new furnishing elements, shapes and a wide range of colors, for a harmonious and coherent unique result.
