Villa Cardo: the contemporary vernacular architecture

Designed by Andrew Trotter Studio, Villa Cardo is a high-end vacation home, built with traditional methods and local materials, such as stone and wood, to maintain the iconic vernacular style of Puglia besides keeping the building light, airy and fresh.

The residence is located in Carovigno, in the district of Brindisi, within a hectare of land dotted with olive and almond trees, with a suggestive sea view.

The interiors of the main structure have large common areas with living and dining rooms, three bedrooms with bathrooms and a Turkish bath; the adjacent independent structure, which can accommodate up to two people, is an additional living space.

Moreover, the house has a spacious outdoor area with swimming pool, an open-air kitchen with barbecue and wood-burning oven, furnished patio, living and solarium areas. Finally, the large roof terrace offers guests a full panoramic view of an area surrounded by the Mediterranean nature.
