In the new Virgin Active in Pretoria (South Africa) – which is part of the world-renowned fitness center chain – gym, swimming pool, dressing rooms and outdoor areas are all marked by one main material: the modern cement effect of the surfaces by Italgraniti Group, active in the ceramic industry for over twenty years.
The porcelain stoneware Materia D, which is an elegant and contemporary product for floors and walls recreating the cement appearance with high accuracy, has been chosen for the training areas of the wellness center and the pool, as well as the locker rooms of this prestigious building.
In spite of their different use and design features, the various areas of the fitness center in Pretoria recreate a harmonious continuum of space thanks to the perfect combination of the materials, which satisfy aesthetic and functional needs besides meeting the requirements of safety and high technical performance.
In particular, the finish “Tecno” was used for the interior floors of the gym common areas, while for the pool/wellness area and the outdoor areas they selected the finish “Rullato”, which combines the industrial style with high anti-slip performance perfect for this type of environments. Both surfaces share neutral shades, excellent for covering and enhancing the rigorous and contemporary volumes, as well as maintaining the typical style of Virgin Active centers.
