Ceramics of Italy at Clerkenwell Design Week 2026
For the fifth consecutive year, the Italian ceramic industry takes centre stage at the Clerkenwell Design Week, taking place in London from May 19 to 21, with a collective exhibition inside a temporary pavilion located in St. John’s Square, at the heart of the city’s prestigious design district.
Now in its 15th edition, Clerkenwell Design Week is one of the most important international events for contemporary design. Home to the highest concentration of architecture and design showrooms in Europe, the festival represents a strategic platform for meeting architects, designers and industry professionals.
The 13 Italian ceramic companies exhibiting under the Ceramics of Italy brand are Casalgrande Padana, Ceramica Sant’Agostino, Ceramiche Keope, Ceramiche Marca Corona, Ceramiche Refin, Supergres, Decoratori Bassanesi, Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola, La Faenza, Gresmalt, Ceramiche Settecento, S.I.M.A.S. and Tonalite.
The participation, promoted by Confindustria Ceramica and ICE-Agenzia, confirms the strong commitment to supporting the presence of Made in Italy products in international markets. Workshops, meetings with architects and networking events will animate the three-day programme, offering a unique opportunity to explore the quality and versatility of Italian ceramics within a dynamic international setting.
Among the key initiatives organised by Ceramics of Italy is the conference “From Surface to System: How Italian Ceramics Shape Contemporary Architecture”. Following opening remarks by Angelo Dall’Aglio of Ceramics of Italy, the conference — scheduled for Wednesday, May 20 at 12:30 pm at the YOTEL London City — will be curated and moderated by Daniel Gava and will feature Francesco Casella, Director at KPF London, and Laura Marcheggiano, Specialist Advisor in the Global Materials Team at Arup.
