Mūra by Ariostea: a new expression of cement, solid yet light

Mūra is Ariostea’s porcelain stoneware project proposing a new concept of concrete: essential, solid, and marked by slight variations that recount how it takes shape.
The surfaces, that evoke oxidation and subtle metallic nuances, engage in a dialogue with the structure supporting the continuity of the environments by balancing matter and luminosity, depth and spatial openness, containment and momentum.

The collection is designed for indoor and outdoor and it offers three shades designed to exalt the character of concrete without compromising its authenticity: Lunara recalls the soft light of lime, Sankira defines space with balance and intensity, while Ramira, warm and sophisticated, evokes the natural nuances of the earth.
Surface speckling enriches the texture, echoing the characteristic bubbles that form and burst during the drying process, adding depth and visual rhythm.

The projects and is meant to respond to various scales of operation, thanks to its three sizes’ variations – Ultra, Classics and CM2 Outdoor sizes – and its three finishes – Natural, Natural Plus and Antislip.

The Ultra line, with a thickness of 6 mm, is expressed through large slabs (270x120 cm and 120x120 cm), in the Natural finish. The latter is made using the new water-based technology - developed by Iris Ceramica Group, of which Ariostea is a part - which ensures excellent aesthetic performance, with high image definition, while also guaranteeing environmental sustainability.Ultra surfaces are particularly suitable for floors and wall coverings in contexts requiring visual continuity and minimal aesthetics.
Ideal for adorning spaces in the residential, hospitality and retail sectors, they are also perfect for creating custom furniture, such as counters, tables, staircases and vanity tops, offering customised and functional design solutions.

The Classics sizes offer more traditional dimensions (100x100 cm, 120x60 cm, 60x60 cm), available in 6 mm and 8 mm thicknesses.
The Natural Plus finish gives the concrete a tactile softness, making  it perfect for residential environments such as living rooms, bathrooms and kitchens, but also for offices and public spaces.
The line is enriched by the Tessura decor: a measured weave of marks and micro-reliefs that creates visual depth and a contemporary architectural rhythm, modulating light and enriching the tactile language of the surfaces with coherence and restraint.

CM2 Outdoor is the solution for external flooring, with an increased thickness of 20 mm and Antislip finish to ensure maximum safety. The 100x100 cm size is designed to withstand high loads and continuous stresses, both in public and private spaces. It can be installed dry on gravel, grass or sand, on traditional screed for driveable flooring, or as raised flooring on fixed and adjustable supports. It is ideal for terraces, poolsides, walkways, gardens and outdoor dining areas.
