A tribute to Catalan design with "Inspired in Barcelona: in & out"

A full immersion in the lifestyle of one of the most vibrant Mediterranean city: this is the aim of the exhibition "Inspired in Barcelona: in & out", to be held at Palazzo Isimbardi, April 4 to 9, 2017, during the Milan Design Week. Promoted by Catalonia Trade & Investment and BCD-Barcelona Centro de Diseño and part of the design project created by Emiliana Design Studio, the exhibition will display the most typical features of urban creativity along the lines as the architectural dynamism of the Catalan capital.

The vitality of city life and its outdoor spaces will be expressed in the courtyard of the seventeenth-century complex: under a structure of colored, thin and roller shutters - evoking one of the most popular elements of Barcelona - small lounges with products dedicated to the outdoors will be recreated. The indoor furniture will be instead placed along the arcade, on some platforms in order to emphasize the distinctive signs.

The exhibition aims at bringing out the potential that Barcelona can express in design, thanks to a selection of 90 products made by the best brands and designers, among which there are Eugeni Quitllet, Jaime Hayon, Patricia Urquiola, Miguel Milà, Lievore Altherr Molina and Lagranja Design, together with Santa & Cole, Kettal, Nanimarquina.
