The "Material Design" selected by the ADI Design Index 2017

772 applications and only 204 selected projects: this year the ADI Design Index, promoted by ADI Design Permanent Observatory, selected again the best Italian products that will compete - together with those selected in 2016 - in the Compasso d’Oro 2018.

The exhibition gathering the newly selected – opened in Milan on October 9, in Rome at the end of the month – includes products of every category, from furniture to materials and components for architecture.

Among the 13 categories in which the applications are divided, together with the traditional Living Design (29 products), the Design of materials and technological systems (21) stands out for the number of participations, showing a positive trend in Made in Italy Innovation

Among the selected in this category, there are: Color Now Dot in the Copper version of Fap Ceramiche, a three-dimensional textured tile characterized by a dynamic embossed pattern; OS2 75 by Secco Sistemi, thermal cut iron-window; Tavego® by Marlegno, an eco-friendly building system including load-bearing walls and solid wood slabs assembled exclusively with mechanical connections; Zandobbio, a natural marble treated by the same company.
