International Hotel & Property Award 2015: Simone Micheli wins with Barcelò Hotel Milan

The architect Simone Micheli has won the International Hotel & Property Award 2015, The Europe Categories - Hotel over 200 rooms, with Barcelò Hotel Milan for which he took care of the interior architecture and lighting design.

The project also won an award in 2012 from Interior Design Magazine, based in New York, for Best of The Year Honoree in the Hospitality category.

The new hotel in Milan, acquired by Barceló Hotels & Resorts, has a surface area of 15,000 square metres, and with the completion of Micheli's work, features interiors conceived as "an architecture within the architecture", giving rise to a harmonious blend of eclectic elements that amaze guests with their innovative technology and content. All the interiors and complements were designed with close attention to user-friendliness, and meet the highest standards of economic and environmental sustainability.
